Frequently asked questions
CAPFLOW uses Whisper AI via Transformers.js. The model (~460MB) is fetched from our CDN the first time you transcribe and cached by your browser, so subsequent runs load faster. An internet connection is required — but your video never leaves your device.
No. Your video never leaves your device. All processing — transcription, styling, and export — runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and WebCodecs APIs. We do not store your files, captions, or content anywhere.
Video: MP4, MOV, WEBM, MKV. Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A. For export, CAPFLOW outputs MP4 (H.264) or WebM video, plus SRT, VTT, and TXT caption files compatible with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, and most other editors.
After upgrading, sign in to your account in the studio — click your name in the top right corner. Once you're signed in with your Pro account, the watermark will be removed automatically. If it still shows, try signing out and signing back in.
Video export requires Chrome 94+ or Edge 94+ due to the WebCodecs API. It is not supported on Firefox, Safari, or older browsers. SRT, VTT, and TXT export works on all browsers. If you're on Chrome and still seeing issues, make sure your browser is up to date.
Free gives you English transcription, 720p export, basic animations, and SRT/VTT/TXT export — with a CAPFLOW watermark on video exports.
Pro ($9/month) adds 1080p and 4K export, no watermark, 20+ languages, all animations and glow effects, premium fonts, and saved style presets.
Team ($29/month) includes everything in Pro plus shared style libraries, brand watermark, and up to 5 seats.
Sign in to CAPFLOW, click your name in the top right, and select Billing. This opens your Stripe billing portal where you can cancel anytime — no hidden fees, no cancellation windows. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Check your spam or junk folder first — confirmation emails sometimes land there. If you still can't find it, go to the sign-in modal, enter your email and password, and look for the Resend confirmation link. You can also email us and we'll sort it out manually.
CAPFLOW uses OpenAI's Whisper model, which is among the most accurate open-source speech recognition models available. For clear speech in a quiet environment, accuracy is typically 95%+. Background noise, multiple speakers talking at once, strong accents, or technical jargon may reduce accuracy. You can always edit any caption directly in the editor.
The CAPFLOW studio is designed for desktop browsers. While the homepage and account features work on mobile, video export via WebCodecs is not supported on mobile browsers. We recommend using Chrome on a Mac, Windows PC, or Chromebook for the best experience.
Sign in, click your name in the top right, go to Settings, and scroll to the bottom for the Delete account option. If you have an active paid subscription, please cancel it in Billing first to avoid further charges. If you need help with deletion, email us and we'll remove all your data within 48 hours as required by GDPR and CCPA.
